CHANGE THE WAY YOU EAT
AND TRANSFORM YOUR HEALTH
FOR THE BETTER!

It has been provenA whole food, plant-based diet is THE diet for health, longevity and quality of life.

What you eat every day is a far more powerful determinant of your health than your DNA or environmental factors. In fact, the foods you consume can heal you faster and more profoundly than the most expensive prescription drugs and more dramatically than the most extreme surgical interventions.

It’s never too late to start eating well. WFPB food can help prevent cancer, heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, stroke, high blood pressure, migraines, arthritis…the list goes on and on. And, a healthy whole-food plant-based diet can reverse many of these conditions as well.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VEGAN AND WFPB:

A whole-food, plant-based diet is better for your body!  WFPB and vegan are not necessarily the same.  While it’s fantastic to eat only non-animal products, it doesn’t guarantee that it’s good for you.  A vegan diet can be unhealthy. After all, a lot of processed and unhealthy food is vegan. Like oreo cookies, soda, potato chips, etc. But, whole food comes from the earth. It is in its whole, unprocessed or minimally processed form. How do you know? One author said, “If it’s in lots of plastic packaging, has a list of ingredients and has a marketing team, it’s probably not a whole food!”

What is a Whole Foods, Plant-Based Diet?

  • Prioritizes whole, minimally or unprocessed plant foods
  • Minimizes or eliminates animal products
  • Eliminates highly processed foods (junk food)
  • WFPB means loads of antioxidants, fiber, water, vitamins, minerals, healthy fats and good carbs. Nutrients you can’t get from simply popping a bunch of supplements.

Whole plant food are superior in nutrient density, especially compared to the processed, junky foods that make up most of the Standard American Diet (or SAD).

This is not a diet but a way of life. It’s not about deprivation, or limitation, or tasteless unappetizing foods. It means eating healthy, delicious foods— until you’re pleasantly full and satisfied. Imagine being able to maintain a healthy weight without having to count calories or worry about portion sizes!

Here’s a Guideline:

* Eat plant-based foods in forms as close to their natural state as possible (aka “whole foods”).

* Eat a variety of vegetables, fruits, raw nuts and seeds, beans, legumes, potatoes and whole grains.

* Avoid heavily processed foods and animal products.

* Stay away from too much added salt, oil and sugar.

* Get plenty of fresh water, exercise, sunshine and take a B-12 supplement.

The recipe for optimal health!

“Eat food. Mostly plants. Not too much.”

- Michael Pollan

Why Can’t I Just Pop a Pill?

Prescription drugs only address the symptoms, not the underlying problem. And the side effects are dangerous. In fact, the side effects from pharmaceuticals are the third leading cause of death in the U.S. now, following cancer and heart disease.

WFPB Diet vs. Prescription Drugs

One example: Cholesterol-lowering statin drugs: The best they may be able to offer in terms of risk reduction for a heart attack or death is about 3% over six years. Whereas, a WFPB diet may work 20 times better, potentially offering a risk reduction of 60% after less than four years.

JUST THINK…

If WFPB Was a Pill…

If somebody offered you a pill that was proven to prevent and reverse some of our worst diseases, help you live a longer, more vibrant life and make you look and feel fabulous— wouldn’t you be racing to the store to buy this amazing pill?
